Dream Share

red riding hood doll I'm working on

Selena of Apron Thrift Girl has blogged her Dream Share dreams for May and I thought I would jump in and share my dreams too. It's a great way to get out dreams out there and perhaps make those dreams a tiny bit more attainable. I shall keep checking back to Selena's post to see what everyone's dreaming and see if there is a way I can help someone in my own small way.

my dreams for May:

* I would love to write for a magazine. I have a Somerset Studios magazine or two and find them so inspiring I would love to write something or submit one of my dolls to Prims or Stuffed (that little dream has been in my head for awhile now and I dare not write it down or share it before now) I'm very scared to do so but I want to.

* I want to do some short story writing and submit it to publishers. I'm not sure I'm ready to write my own book but would love to share some small piece of my writing more than just in blog form.

... I think for now these two little dreams are big enough for me.

What are your Dreams?

I dream of having the courage to try and sell my origami flowers outside of the internet.

Of being able to finish a story.

I say go for it! I listened to a podcast the other with an interview with Pam Carriker, she had her first submission rejected by stampington but she didn't give up and now they call her for submissions. So go for it!!! and don't let anything stop you. there's some good info on create mixed media website on how to submit.

My dream is to study art, learn and grow as an artist(eek!)and make art everyday.

I also have a dream of being well enough to visit galleries and such, getting to london again, that would be awesome.

With your talent your dreams are attainable! I think your dolls could definitely be shown in a magazine! And I love the stories that go with them too! Little Red is beautiful!

The best way to make any writing dreams come true is to set aside a specific time each day and write. Never wait to be in the mood or have a great idea. Set aside the time and write. Those wonderful ideas will flow.
If there is a writing group or club near you that may also be something to check out. Encourage each other and nag a bit if someone does not produce. (Motivate, encourage, support.)
This was a dream I stopped pursuing when I "grew up" but deep in my heart it still lingers.
Your creative projects are wonderful and you will never regret following those dreams.
