a little giveaway

"masked" vintage book page illustration

I know I keep promising to do a giveaway and I keep forgetting and forgetting to but this time I mean it. The giveaway is the above original illustration on a vintage book page, the book was a tattered and torn copy of Alice Through the Looking-Glass. It would look lovely in a little frame, and is much nicer in reality, as the light is poor and my photography skills are hit and miss at the best of times.

All you need do is leave a comment telling me something amusing about yourself, and I will draw names out of a bowl this Friday (21st)... or call on the very helpful random number generator. And this little piece of art could be yours.

p.s. there is still time to sign up for the 80's Fantasy Movie Craft Swap on the post below this!

Gorgeous picture.

I got into cardmaking in a bid to outdo the younger sister at christmas - she doesn't even know it yet! Didn't think sibling rivalry would still exist in my 20s

It's gorgeous.
Let's see... I have to sleep on the corner of the bed with my nose slightly off of the pillow on my stomach or I feel claustrophobic. I think it's a little odd.

Hmmm... amusing about me...

You are classed as one of my balanced friends - how is that for amusing? :D

Ummm... if I tell you there is an award waiting for you on my blog, does it count as bribery and corruption? :D :D I promise I did it before I saw this post! :P

Something amusing about me... When the kids are old enough I'm making sure at least one of them never leaves home otherwise I will have to admit that the landing light is actually left on cos I'm scared of the dark and not them ;)

Great Picture!!
When I was a driving instructor, I would sometimes knock on the door of my client and pray they would not answer the door(they were usually the ones with extreme body odour or bad breath)!
I now love working at home....alone.

I've been wearing odd socks everyday for the last 20yrs, the more colorful the better. It cheers me up:)
As long as my feet are warm my feet don't really care what color the socks are...so why not

Hmmm...amusing...

How about the fact that despite owning a pair of shoes with 5 inch platform heels, I fall over when I'm not wearing any shoes!

Also, apparently I get very Bristolian when I've had a drink, and that tends to make everyone around me a) giggle and b) try and imitate it!

I asked Bob for a help and he says the most amusing thing about me is my complete gullibility. I believe *everything* he says, even the most ludicrously outrageous. I think he's being mean because he's my husband and I love and trust him ;)

Lovely!
I had my appendix removed whilst on a family holiday in France when I was 9 where I was fed swamp soup and rabbit *sob*.

In the morning I take my husband to work, daughter to nursery and son to the school breakfast club. I then have to come home to check that I unplugged the straighteners (just incase they set fire to something). I NEVER straighten my hair in the morning, I always do it at night.

I don't think there is anything amusing about me.... I only have two bones instead of three in my little toe, this was discovered after I broke when I dropped a table on it.
